Luke And His Little Rey Of Hope

Yep. That's Luke and Rey when she was a little baby. Isn't this picture adorable? It's just a theory. I still don't know. The new Star Wars trilogy hasn't confirmed some of it's mysteries. At least not until Episode 8 and 9. But could Rey really be Luke's long lost daughter? Could she be his niece? Or, is Rey related to someone else entirely different?

I don't know too much of the percentage on what lots of SW fans believe. But I think lots of the fans believe that Rey is closely related to Luke Skywalker. I won't forget how Episode 7 left me to believe in such a possibility. Luke seemed to have recognized Rey. Also, The Force Awakens ending seemed to have given the audience a hint. If she really is related to Luke, then the story better reveal how the poor girl got separated and abandoned on Jakku. Many fans believe that Luke left Rey on Jakku for protection. Sheesh! I don't easily believe that. Come on. To me, it really doesn't make sense. Keep in mind that Jakku is a very dangerous desert planet. It's no place for a human child. I don't think Luke would do such a thing. Luke is not the type to ever abandon his own child. He's a very caring person and he certainly wouldn't have left Rey in the hands of the cruel Unkar Plutt. It's not who he is. We cannot forget that Luke didn't choose to give up on his father Anakin/Darth Vader. He chose to try to get his father to come back to him. To get him to let go of his hate. To let go of the Dark Side. And, he got him to turn against the evil Emperor. I just needed to make a good point on Luke's character.

Besides, there's something I need to mention. Some people like me believe that something very traumatic happened. Something which none of us don't know of specifically. But here's what I think. I won't forget that it's in the book. In Rey's vision, a voice said to her, "Stay here. I'll come back for you sweetheart. I promise." It sounded very much like a parent of Rey was hiding her from a massacre. To make sure she wouldn't be killed by the Knights of Ren or by FO stormtroopers. I think it was her mother protecting her. Sounds like Rey was mostly with her mother instead of her father. As for Luke, I think that he might have easily believed that his daughter was dead. Someone must have kidnapped Rey and left her on Jakku with her memories erased or suppressed. I will not forget that after Luke's Jedi Temple was in flames and his pupils killed, he was shut down before he went into hiding. He's been shut down for 15 years until Rey came to him. Anyway, I hope you like my picture theory.

P.S., I take back on what I said about Luke being shut down for 15 years. He's been shut down for 6 years before Rey came to him. That's means Ben/Kylo Ren was 23 years old when he turned against Luke. I bring this up now because of the new Star Wars book called Bloodline by Claudia Gray. It reveals some things which I had just found out. Unfortunately, the Bloodline book does not reveal who Rey's parents are. I so badly want to know if Rey really is the daughter of Luke. But I won't get a 'yes" or 'no' answer right away. Fans like me still have to wait patiently for the answers.

December 20, 2019 News

Since Star Wars The Rise Of Skwalker has been released, Rey is not Luke's daughter, and she is not his niece. Although it's very disappointing to me, I'm not surprised. Instead of being related as a Skywalker or a Solo, Rey is revealed to be the granddaughter of the evil Emperor Palpatine. I don't know the name of Palpatine's son. But the son found himself a wife and he fathered a child. When Palpatine found out that his granddaughter would become a threat to him, he feared her power and he sent an assassin to kill both Rey and her parents. After Rey's parents left her on Jakku, the parents got themselves killed.
